Are the dresses on your website in stock?
We make every effort to keep our website up to date so what you see should be in stock as a sample for you to try on, but if you see a specific dress or item you would particularly like to try please phone in advance to check first.

How far in advance do I need to order my wedding Gown?
You would need to start looking for your wedding Gown about 12 months prior to your wedding date. The average lead time for your dress to arrive once ordered is usually at least 6 months depending on the designer. You would want your dress to arrive three  months prior to your wedding date to allow for alterations so ordering 8 to 12 months in advance is perfect. Ordering within this time frame allows for any delays such as bad weather or interruptions in transportation. Sooner is always better. We will store your dress free of charge until just before your wedding day.

Is an appointment necessary?

It is our policy to see only one bride at a time and to avoid disappointment we highly recommend you make an appointment as we cannot guarantee that you will be seen without one, although if you do call in and we can see you we will. Saturdays and evening appointments are by far the most popular so we recommend booking well in advance. Evening appointments are by prior arrangement only. Appointments generally last on average one hour.

Who should I bring with me to the appointment?
The experts recommend not to bring too many people with you when shopping for your wedding gown as a large range of opinions can be overwhelming for a bride. Pick a few people who love you and whose opinion you can trust and will be honest. Ideally your mum and one or two other trusted individuals seem to be the perfect mix and will make your experience more enjoyable. Don’t forget it’s Your special day, You are the one that will be the centre of attention and in the end it’s only Your opinion that really counts to select a wedding gown that will make You look fantastic and feel amazing. You are the only one who will really know the wow factor when you try on the perfect gown for You.

How do I prepare for the appointment?
Buying your bridal gown should be a pleasurable and memorable event. If you have already browsed through magazines to see which styles you like or you wish to bring photos we encourage you to do this, but please be open minded and let us suggest styles you may not thought of as sometimes you may be pleasantly surprised, as every dress looks different when tried on as opposed to hanging on a hanger. We can advise and help you select your perfect gown and bridesmaids dresses but you will not be pressurised in any way. If you can, please bring shoes with a similar heel height to what you will be wearing on your wedding day. If you are working to a budget please let us know.

Do you provide alterations?
We do not offer an in-house alteration service but we can suggest an independent experienced  seamstress (located within one minutes walking distance from our premises) who should be contacted at least 6 – 8 weeks prior to the wedding date, or if you prefer you may use any seamstress you may already know. You will need to bring/wear suitable undergarments being worn on the wedding day including Bra and Shoes otherwise the alterations may be incorrect.

When should I choose my accessories?
It is advisable to purchase your accessories at the time you order your gown, or alternatively when trying your own dress when it arrives, this enables you to see the finished look. We do not propose you buy a tiara or veil without your dress on. We keep a stock of veils and tiaras at all times so it may not be necessary for us to order it in for you.

What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Cheque and all major Debit and Credit cards, excluding American Express.

How much deposit is needed to order a Gown?
A minimum deposit of at least 50% is required at the time of order however you may pay in full if you wish. As soon as your gown arrives the remaining balance is due. To assist you spread the cost of the balance, you may spread it over the weeks before your gown arrives and alterations commence. This may be done over the phone for your convenience.

What if I don’t have sufficient time to order my Wedding Gown?
Depending on the designer we may be able to place a rush order for you but this carries a premium passed on by the manufacturer.
Alternatively we may be able to offer you a sample dress ‘off the rail’ which has only been tried on and are generally in perfect condition, at a reduced price and represents great value for money.
Also we have a range of discontinued designs on our sale rail so whatever your time-frame or budget we will do our best to accommodate you.
